what will be the equation after y=x^2 is transferred 3 units up and 5 units right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at what happens for typical functions \[y = x^{2}\] if you add or subtract to it \[y = x^{2} + c\] where c is some constant it shifts up and down by c units if you take \[y = (x+d)^{2}\] where d is come constant then if d>0, it shifts to the left and if d<0 then it shifts to the right. using multiplication by factors and addition/subtraction, you can figure out the final solution
