To find out what w is start by adding the 4 to each side. your new equation would look like this: 13 + 4 = w/-3. Next step is to isolate the variable by multiplying -3 to each side. Your new equation is 17 \[\times\] -3 = w. To solve just multiply 17 and -3 :)
