OpenStudy (denise):

-6(8-7p)<-48 HELP!

OpenStudy (sandra):

hi Denise!

OpenStudy (sandra):

ok so you need to -6 across both things in the parentheses

OpenStudy (sandra):

so 1. -6(8-7p) < -48 2. -6*8 - (-6*7p) < -48 3. -48 - -42p < - 48

OpenStudy (sandra):

so now we add 48 to both sides

OpenStudy (sandra):

--42p < 0

OpenStudy (sandra):

so 42p < 0, divide both sides by 42, and p < 0

OpenStudy (denise):

Ok. Thanks! I thought that was how it was suppose to be done

OpenStudy (denise):

-8<6n+10<52

OpenStudy (denise):

ok. -3<n<7
