f(x)=2x-4,g(x)=x^2-5x+12, x that satisfies the composite (f*g)(x)=12. I have gotten to 2x^2-10x+20=12 and 2x^2-10x+32=0 and see no way to factor this. I have tried to complete the square and the quadratic formula but end up with a negative under the radical(unless I'm not using those right). The answer is 1,4 but how do I get there?
