can you help me with this one? Find the slope of a line parallel to the line that passes through the following points? (4, 0) and (3.8,2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are those the right coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope equals rise over run, or the difference of the y co-ordinants over the difference in the x-coordinants. It doesn't matter which you pick as the first or second set of coordinants - just be consistent with your y and x orders. \[m={{y_{2}-y_{1}}\over{x_{2}-x_{1}}}\]
