Determine the following: U= {a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k} A= {a,c,d,f,g,i} B= {b,c,d,f,g} C= {a,b,f,i,j} A' U B'= {a,c,d,f,g,i} U {b,c,d,f,g} ={c,d,f,g} What did I do wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm, looks like you did intersection, not union

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or am I misunderstanding?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

union would list the members from each set, not the ones that are in both

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_(set_theory)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i.e. {a,b,c,d,f,g,i}
