Explain the difference between the domain and the range of a relation.

The domain is all valid x values for the function, range is all valid y values. For example \[f(x)=1/(x-2)\] Domain: all real x, except x=2 (because that would make the denominator 0) Range: all real y, except y=0 (because as x approaches infinity, y just becomes a smaller and smaller fraction but never reaches 0)
