How do you graph quadratic functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y=x^2-2x+3

There are better ways (not necessarily faster), but too hard to explain this way.

Agghh!! This thing ate half my post! My answer was: Make a table of x and y values. Start by picking some x's -- say, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3. For each x, plug into the equation above and calculate y. Now you have x-y pairs. Plot the pairs on the graph. When you connect the dots, you should get a parabola (roughly u-shaped).
