OpenStudy (anonymous):

dsquare -19 -2d+11 =0. The square root symbol goes until -2d

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

okay so u have: \[\sqrt{-19-2d}+11=0\] or \[\sqrt{-19-2d}= -11\]

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

square both sides: \[-19-2d = (-11)^2\]

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

or: -19-2d = 121 -2d = 121 - ( - 19) -2d = 121 + 19

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

-2d = 140; d = 140/(-2)

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

d = -70 <= ur answer
