city A has a current population of 500,000 people and grows at a rate of 3% per year. city B has a current population of 300,000 and grows at a rate of 5% per year. When will the cities have the same population?

500,000*(1.03)^t = 300,000*(1.05)^t. solve for t. I'll skip the algebra for you... t= 26.56 years
