Are you asking about the square root of any specific number? Or just what it is? A square root of a number y is a number x such that when squared, gives y. I.e. x^2 = y, so x is the square root of y. Ex: 4 = 2^2. So 2 is the square root of 4. Note (-2)^2 also gives 4, so it can also be considered the square root
