The first one, they forgot to carry over the one when they added 7 and 5 to get 12. So it should be 182 instead of 172. The second one, they didn't carry the digits over at all! They thought that if you just add the sums of 8+2=10 and 7+5=12, then they can just put it together and get 1012. That is wrong
