Which one is bigger, 5 1/3 or 6.7

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

lol that is easy!

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

6.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Explain the process...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Okay in first case, see the whole number, it is 5. Ignore the fraction next to it. In the second case the whole number is 6. Ignore the 0.7 next to it too. what's bigger 5 or 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, like 1 3/5 and 5 7/10 it would be 5 7/10?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you put it in teacher words?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

how would I? im not a teacher
