OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the following set of data find an appropriate regression equation (linear, exponential, or logarithmic) state your reason x: 1,2,3,4,5 y: 112,114, 119, 122, 129

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

hey can u plot it again? I will show you what to do, I know why you couldnt see it earlier. x is only 1,2,3,4,5 and y is over 100!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

okay so now go to window

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

now tell me what values you see there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put zero in the x min and y min on accident just right now..

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

no its fine, here are the values that you need: xmin = 0 xmax = 6 xscl = 1 ymin = 90 ymax = 140 yscl = 1

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

set it to those values and BAM, you can see the points perfectly!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay now after that what do i do?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

now try linear regression line!

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I'd say exponential regression line is better.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried linear and exponential i think they are the same?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

no exponential is better.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

howcoem

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Okay can you go on twiddla so that I can explain.
