distribute 4x and get 4x^2 + 4x foil the right side to get 4x^2 +10x -6x -15 cmbine like terms 4x^2 + 4x = 4x^2 +4x -15 subtract 4x^2 from both sides and subtract 4x from both sides. you get 0 = 15 therefore there is no solution
