Here we need to think about the order of operations. You've likely seen this, but PEMDAS is a useful acronym. Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication/Division, and then Addition/Subtraction

but jb, make sure that when you advance to a higher level, you dont have to use pemdas. its something you just need to know, the way you know how to breathe
so we'll calculate 4^2 first: 16 Multiply 16 by 3: 48 add 6: 54 Subtract 7: 47
