last one - the width of a rectangle is fixed at 6 cm. in terms of inequality, what are the lengths for which the area will be less than 144 cm2 (squared)? My guess is that the length must be less than 10 and the solution set is L is less than 11 cm

Try to think of which number multiplied by 6 is equal to 144 first.
6(24)=144, so we need the length to be less than 24
this will ensure the area is less than 144
ok, i see. i was subtracting 36 from 144 and trying to get it that way.
