Sketch the curve given by y = 2cos(t), x = 2t + 2sin(5) for [-pi,pi] and find its length. Can someone explain to me how to do it?

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

The easiest way is, I believe, to solve the x = equation for t, so that you get t in terms of x. Then substitute into the y = equation, and you'll have a regular equation that you can manipulate normally.
