What is the x-coordinate of the solution of the following system of equations? 3x + y = 6 x - y = 6 a)-3 b)0 c)3

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Do you know how to start solving the system?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope thats why i am asking! :)

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Fair enough :) The easiest way to solve a system of equations is to solve the simplest equation for one of the variables, so you can then plug back into the more complicated equation. Which equation do you think is the simplest here?

c) 3
