I need to know how to graph a line with a slope of -2 and y intercept of 7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-2x+7

Because the y-intercept is 7, the point (0,7) must be on the graph, so plot that point. The slope (rise/run) is -2. Rise/run = -2/1 so move 2 units down from the point you plotted and 1 unit to the right. Plot another point here, at (1,5), and draw the line through these points. The equation of the line will be y = -2x + 7.

-2/1 is rise over run and 7 is your y intercept meaning where it crosses the y axis
