the first term has factors of : 1*9, 3 * 3 the last term has factors of :1*1 ( - 1)( - 1) must be the last terms in each (), now try the factors of 9 (3x-1)(3x-1), if you multiply the outside terms you get -3x, if you mulfiply the inside terms you get - 3x, when adds up to -6x
