I NEED HELP HOW DO YOU FIND THE SOLUTIONS for 2x=2x^2-4x???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey, how's it going?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not good i need to know who to find the solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 2x = 2x^2 - 4x correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that the equation i need to find the solution of but the ^2 stands for a squared sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get all the x's on one side, and try to factor it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesn't matter :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's the beauty of the equal sign both sides are the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know what you mean dude im like totally confused right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one side of the equation. either the left or the right side of the equal sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do i do with the 2x^2 is what im messed up with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you tried to factor it after you get all the x stuff on the same side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea im at like i moved the -4x to the other side and got 6x=2x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get all the x stuff on the same side though...
