next question and again thanks for the help. how do i classify a triangle in two ways whe one side is 8cm the other is 4cm and the third is also 4cm.

This sounds like a right triangle. Your two shorter sides are forming a right angle.

Because 2 of the lenghts are the same, it's isosceles. Because the head angle is sharp, it's acute.
