are there some important tips we should remember while solving integrals?

what do you mean? First of all see if its some expression, like integral of tan is Sec^2, then try u substitution, then integration by parts, then partial fractions, and finally trig substitution..

A very good tip, imo, do MANY integrals, and you will see the pattern on how to solve it. If you get a integral you dont know where to begin. You will have to try each technique and see which one gives you the easiest integral to compute. Like bahrom said, if you dont know which technique to use when you look at the integral, try sub, parts, fractions and then trig sub.

thanks 4 d tips but dont u think it would take a long time..bahrom ,by tips i meant like some little things that we should remember whie solving integrals...i get really scared when i see some question on integrals although i have done evrything

There's no shortcuts when it comes to integrals, the best way is to solve those you are scared of, if you have several exercises, always pick the one's you dont like. After you have done a certain amount of integrals (this varies individually) you will get more secure on which solution to work with depending on the integral.
