B is the midpoint of AC. A has coordinates (-3, 4) and B has coordinates (-1 ½, 1). Find the coordinates of C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you find that to go from -3 to -1.5 you must go over 1.5 in the positive direction so the x value for C is going to be 1.5 greater than the x value for B which would be 0 and for the y value it goes from 4 to 1 so it goes 3 in the negative direction so therefor to get from b to c it must go down another 3 so 1-3 = -2 so the coordinates of C are (0,-2)
