solve using logarithms: 75(1.08)^n = 450

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lemme just say that I LOVE logs! \[75(1.08^{n})=450\] Divide both sides by 75 to get the exponential form by itself: \[1.08^{n}=6\] Then you rewrite it in log form to get: \[\log_{1.08} 6=n\] Depending on what your teacher wants, you can either leave it as that or use a calc to get: approximately 23.28

Hope that helps! Like I said, it depends on what type of answer your teacher wants. :]
