9+6/3 x 3. k so im helpin my little bro with math and this problem i think is impossible. it has no parentheses, so how do u know if u multiply or divide first? u get completely different answers. order of operations PEMDAS says that isnt multiplication and division equal? so this makes no sense since u get 2 different answers..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why dont you treat it like a fraction then,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont think u can theres no parentheses

??????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

order of operations also states that you do the multiply/divide from left to right as well as the add and subtract. So in this case you could write in parentheses to get 9 + [(6/3) x 3]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the final answer should be 15

k thanks!

oh, my cp froze, guess someone beat me to it. Well im glad you got the right response
