HELP!!! PLEASE!!! the question is to DETERMINE all critical points for the following function. f(x)= 2x^2 - 216*sqrt(x) PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the first derivative and find where f'(x)=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did and then i got 4x-108/sqrt(x) and then when u subsittute x=0, you get 0/undefined...and then how would you get the other critical value??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

set your derivative to zero, dont plug zero in for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do u do that? i dont get how to solve for x...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey! i got it! :DD thx for your help!
