I need to know how to solve (4/(x+1))-(2/(x+3))=0

1) Find a common denominator. Multiply the first equation by x+3 and multiply the second equation by x+1. 4(x+3)/ (x+1)(x+3) - 2(x+1)/ (x+3). 4x+12 - (2x+ 2)= 2x+10 2x+10/ (x+1)(x+3) 2(x+5)/(x+1)(x+3)
