at 12 noon, leslie recorded the temperature as 56 degrees f. The temperature had increased by 8 degrees f from 10am. The temperature at 8am was 2 degrees f warmer than it was at 10am. What was the temperature @ 8am. Please explain step by step. Thanks

Ok so start with your 12:00 temperature: 56° F.
You know that the 10:00 temp. was 8 degrees less than 56
so:
56°-8°=48°
your 10:00 temp.=48°
Now you know that the 8:00 temp was 2° warmer than your 10:00 temp. which was 48°
simply: 48+2=50°
your 8:00 temp. was 50°
