OpenStudy (sgadi):

speed of marie = 60mph speed of lucy = 45mph

thanks can you show me the steps.

OpenStudy (sgadi):

distance = 315 time = 3 hours so, speed (s)= 315/3=105 but given that speed of marie (m) is 15mph greater than the speed of lucy (l) \[m=l+15\] Total speed \[s=l+m=2l+15=105 \Rightarrow l=45\] so, \[m=l+15=60\]
