I'm trying to solve this problem subtract and simplify completely 5/7-3/14=

First you want to change the fractions so that the denominators are the same because that is the only way you can subtract fractions. To do that, multiply 5/7 by two which gives you 10/14. Then, subtract the numerators so (10/14)-(3/14) is 7/14 which simplifies to 1/2!
