what you do is 49.95 * 1.2 (because it it adding 20%)...
What you could also do, in another way do this: 20% = 0.20 0.2X49.95$ = 9.99$ Then you add 9.99$ + 49.99$ = 59.98$ That's the answer , the original price is 59.98$

People, discounts are subtracted from the original price!! If you subtract 20% of 59.98 from 59.98, you get 47.98. The answer is $62.44 because if you take 20% off of that (62.44) - .2(62.44) you get $49.95.
