50 /5 (3-1) -4 50/5 (2) -4 50/5=10 x 2 =20 - 4 =16

@ laceyella your answer makes no sense arn't you supposed to multiply 10x s after dividing 50/10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry thats suppossed to say 10 x 2 after dividing 50/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh, so wait whats the right answer ahhaha im so confsued

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk but i got 16 cuz first you always figure out whats in the parenthesis (3-1 = 2) then you divide 50 by 5 and get 10, next you multiply 10 x 2 cuz when ever you dont have a sign that tells you what to do it means multiply, so you get 10x 2=20 last you subtract 4 from 20 and get 16... you discide wich answer is right...

OpenStudy (radar):

It appears you would follow the order of operations. \[50\div5(2)-4\]

OpenStudy (radar):

\[50\div10-4\]

OpenStudy (radar):

5-4=1
