both equations are same, but they are in different format. cannot find the value.

that is what i thought. but would that mean there isnt a solution or r there infinte soultions. bc i did no solutions and it was wrong

If you are going to determine if there are infinitely many solutions or no solution... perform the substitution. 2x - 2(x - 8) = 16 2x - 2x + 16 = 16 16 = 16 Since 16 = 16 is a true statement, there are infinitely many solutions. Even though the equations are the same, you should still perform the substitution. Now, if the statement would have been false (i.e. 15 = 16), then it would have been no solution
