I have an invoice, totalling $849,427.09. It is divided as follows:- Electric Total 100% Tenant 80% Cam 20% Water Total 100% Tenant 81.64% Cam 18.36% Steam Total 100% Tenant steam 73.24% Tenant Steam H20 15.17% Tenant Cam 11.59% Chilled Water

something feels like it is missing. What % of the total does the electric take up? the water take up? the steam take up? they cant all take up 100% of the total.

The invoice totall is 100%, which is in this case is $849,427.09, but each segment within the invoice is 100% and I am trying to work out the total of each segment, for example, Steam Total.

Without knowing how much money as allocated for electric water steam or chilled; there is no way of determining any other amounts. Do we "assume" that the total is divided evenly? Or is more spent in electric than steam which means that it is disbursed unevenly?

No they are not divided evenly. Each segment has its own total.

Then the best you can do is provided an equation with an unknown variable (or variables) in it and still be lost regarding a set amount. right? Do we want a set determined amount or an equation that would allow us to know the amounts when the unknown is determined?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

In other words: T = E(x)(r%) + W(y)(q%) + S(z)(u%) + C(m)(n%)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Electric = Total(r%) Water = Total(q%) Steam = Total(u%) Chilled = Total(n%) There just is not enough information that I can see here.
