The function f(x)=x/(2x+1) -5 will decrease by approximately 0.6 as x decreases from 3 to 2.7. TRUE OR FALSE. How do I show the work. Not sure where to start. Do I need to get the derivitive of the equation first?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

just for clarity is it: x/(2x+1-5) or [x/(2x+1)] -5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry about that, it should be: [x/)2x+1)] -5 The -5 is not part of the fraction
