1st der is 3x^2 + 6 x - 9 and 2nd 6x + 6 dont know what to do now ??
Equate the 1st derivative to zero, and solve for x. Those are your CN. Then to get inflection points you equate the 2nd derivative to zero and solve for x. To find max and min you need to test the slope in between the intervals between your CN's. If it's a positive slope then going to a negative slope, it's a min. If it's a negative slope going to a positive slope at the CN then it's a max.
