14w+4w+15w=99

All the w can be summed together. Think of it as putting 14w's in a box, then adding 4 more w's, then 15 more w's. How many w's are in the box? 14 + 4 + 15 which equals 33 w's. If 33 w's equals 99 how much is each w by itself? Divide 99 by the total number of w's and the result is 3.
