I need help. If a license plate combonation is 5 characters that can be a letter or a number, how many combinations are there that start with the letters BOB?

I know that multiplication is involved, but how. Note: There are 10 numbers. and 26 letters

If it starts with BOB then we only have 2 places left to fill.  There are 10 digits and 26 letters which means that 36 things can fill either spot.

36 * 36 will give us:  936+360 = 1296  if I did it in my head correctly :)
