surface area of a square pyrimid
Be more specific?
square pyrimid of 6 6 and 8
base 6, width 6, and height 8?
Are you looking for volume?
yep im just lost
no surface area
one face is equal to base times height divided by 2. to find the height of the face; you use the fact that 8 and 3 are the legs of another triangle with the hypotenuse of it being your surce height...does that make sense?
SA would be Length x Width
yessssssss but this is on a pyrimid
A square pyramid is just a square with 4 triangles on top of it. So take it step by step. A square has area side^2. A triangle has area (1/2)*base*height. There's 4 triangles, all with the same area. Add the (area of the square) + 4*(area of triangle)
sqrt(64 + 9) = sqrt(73) the surface area of the entire pyramid, not counting the bottom is: 6sqrt(73)/2 times 4
u guys r awsome and smart ... im not thx for u guys help
drop a perpendicular down the center and you get 8 for the height of the pyramid. measure over 3 from there to get a triangle of: 8^2 + 3^2 = r^2 and r is the "height" you use to figure for the face triangles. r = sqrt(64 +9) = sqrt(73) sqrt(73) times 6 for the base divided by 2 gives the area of 1 face. times that by 4 to get all the faces. include the bottom if need be :) 6*6 = 36
