2a(a^2 + 2af + f^2 - 4h^2) - factor out the gcf which is 2a 2a(a + f)^2 - 4h^2 - factor the first three terms.. it is a perfect square 2a(a + f + 2h(a + f - 2h) - now you have the difference of two squares
