Highway 4 is 22 miles long, route 6 is 25 miles long connected to make a total of 47 miles, County line road is 30 miles long, The speed limit for both highway 4 and route 6 is 55mph. County line road is 30mph. Which path will be faster, and by how much.

Well since rate * time = distance you would want to solve this for the amount of time it would take which would mean the "fastest" time = distance / rate (divide both sides by rate) Highway 4 and Route 6 is 47 miles long (distance) and the rate is (55 mph) so the time it would take is 47/55 = .854 of an hour County Line is 30 miles long (distance) and the rate is (30 mph) so the time it would take is 30/30 = 1 hour.. Highway 4 and Route 6 would be faster
