How do we connect with friends?

Hey good question!  Do you mean how do you find your friends if they're on the site? Or do you mean how do you invite your friends or maintain a friends list?

Right now we have the concept of "fans" - so you can become a fan of someone that helps you a lot or that you're friends with.  Maybe a profile page with a list of fans and which group they're studying in now?  If these sound good, please use the feedback tab on the left to suggest and vote!

Yes, I mean how to find friends already on the site.  One of my classmates sent me an invitation link, but it didn't work, so I figured I'd search for her and the group she created manually.  I'm not having any luck with that.  I'll keep poking around to see what I can find.  Thanks!!

Ok got it. So your friend probably created a study group on an older version of our site. Namely still available at http://retro.openstudy.com - try putting "retro" in front of the invite url your friend sent you and see if that works. And please let her know about the new user interface!
