As it also says in my profile, i want to turn into equity research, where should i start??

There are three skills you need to be a good equity research analyst. The first is networking - you need to cultivate a wide array of sources because the information you get from this is the motherlode for good equity research. The second is communication- equity research, especially in sell side form, is about communicating your views effectively, in both written and spoken format. The third is valuation - after all, you need to be able to value companies well. Note, though, that the order of skills reflects what I think about the nature of equity research for the most part. It is networking and selling, more than valuation.

I am already a fan, how can I offer applause for this note?
