9x^2 – 16 Factor problem, show work.

the answer is : first if you look there is a subtraction sign which indicates a difference the first term is x^2, it is squared. so we know that we are dealing with a difference of square question. threfore we know that it will factor in the form of (a+b)(a-b). so if we square root the 9 we get 3 and if we square roote the x^2 we get x and if we square root the 16 we get 4. therefor the answer is (3x+4)(3x-4). this is this is the answer. anytime you have a difference of squares question . always square root the entire expressionand then write it in the form of (a+b) and (a-b) ok.
