find three consecutive multiples of 15 such that twice their sum is 360

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

so we know that those 3 consecutive numbers equal 180, so those 3 numbers are 45, 60, and 75

OpenStudy (ny,ny):

yeah i know i dont know how to explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If 15x is the first number, then the other two are 15(x+1) and 15(x+2)....then 2[15x + 15(x+1) + 15(x+2)] =360....solve and u'll get x=3....sub into the expressions repr the three numbers...u'll get 45, 60 and 75
