Is anyone one on here using ubuntu linux if so can you please tell me how to restart the shell because every time I get stuck in an infinite loop I have to quit out of shell.
I had the same issue and found that idle was running with the -n (no subprocess option) If so you should see the ==== No Subprocess ==== message. Modify the launcher and remove the -n option. Now ctrl-c should work fine and get you out of the loop.
Thank you so much that was getting kind of annoying.
Hey 1 more question I changed the desktop shortcut command and it works fine when i run it from the desktop but how do i change the "main" command beause when i run it from the applications menu i still get the message ==== No Subprocess ====.
the launcher in the app menu is under /usr/share/applications, sudo there and change the properties. Hope it helps
Hey i changed it in there too but when i go to the top application-programming-IDLE it still runs with no subprocess message.
I figured out how to fix it tho you go up to the applications and right click where it says applications and click edit menus in edit menus you find IDLE right click it and choose properties then delete the -n on the end of the command.
