Can someone help me with this problem, simplify the expression: (9) divided by (y+3) plus (2y) divided by (y+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first multiply both sides to have the same denominator, you'l get this : 9(y+6) + 2y(y+3)/(y+3)(y+6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you'll have: 9y + 54 + 2y^2 + 6y/ (y+3)(y+6) = 2y^2 +15y + 54/(y+3)(y+6)

that's it, I guess :)
