3x^2 + 18x + 27 Factor and show work.

The first thing you do is to take out the common factor which is 3. So you have 3(x^2 + 6x + 9) Then you are trying to find factors of 9 that add to get 6. That would be 3 and 3. So it factors into 3(x + 3)(x + 3) which should be written 3(x + 3)^2

You can factor out a 3 from the beginning: \[3(x^2+6x+9) \rightarrow3(x+3)*(x+3) = 3(x+3)^2\]
